This role is responsible for the management of multiple loan management functions within Situs Asset Management (SAM). The role will mentor staff, address issues, oversee operations and represent the company through client interactions. This individual has a team of direct reports who will require ongoing training and regular review of assigned portfolios to ensure an equitable distribution of work among the staff based upon experience levels, complexity of portfolios and timing of reporting requirements. This position involves a high level of interaction and communication between management, SAM employees as well as clients and various 3rd parties.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of loan management team leads, fostering a culture of internal cooperation, accountability, and continuous improvement.      
  • Manage client expectations, serve as escalation point of contact for conflict resolution, process clarification and personnel issues; escalate to senior leadership where appropriate.
  • Develop and execute a mechanism to review and communicate client pipeline information to effectively manage upcoming workload, anticipate hiring needs and notify Senior Leadership of any material impacts to the business.
  • Review task allocation for direct reports and their teams daily/weekly/monthly to ensure an appropriate level of utilization for all team members and provide strategic guidance and coaching to people leaders where needed to drive efficiency, engagement and accountability.
  • Provide strategic oversight and definitive guidance to loan management teams and other leaders regarding the interpretation of complex loan documents including mortgages, deeds of trust, loan agreements, commitment letters and servicing agreements. Act as the final escalation point for critical issues, guaranteeing consistent and compliant application of all contractual terms across the servicing and management functions.
  • Lead initiatives to establish formalized processes and procedures to ensure loan management teams produce consistent deliverables, comply with loan and client level contractual requirements, adhere to internal control requirements / audit standards and are completed in accordance with stated service levels and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and support a strong risk management and control environment throughout Loan Management, promote adherence to company standards, collaborate effectively with internal and external audit stakeholders, drive accountability for issue remediation and ensure all audit observations are addressed with effective and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of quality control frameworks across loan management functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational integrity. Establish governance protocols and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement, mitigate risk, and uphold service excellence across teams and processes.
  • Formulate recommendations to Senior Management for resolution of non-compliant issues through verbal and written communication with both internal and external parties. Lead and mentor VPs to resolve non-compliant issues with strategic guidance and ethical problem-solving. Facilitate root cause analysis to identify underlying systemic problems or training gaps to empower VPs to develop sustainable remediation solutions.
  • Establish and review key performance indicators (KPIs) to track overall loan management team performance, adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and defect occurrences to identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement through cross functional collaboration with loan management, asset management, operations and technology business leaders to identify productivity and performance trends and propose enhancements to processes through workflow optimization, quality control refinement and report automation.
  • Champion culture of continuous, sustainable process improvement focused on efficiency, accuracy and scalability.  Drive cross-functional adoption of new systems and processes through strategic change management and accountability to ensure initiatives are successfully implemented across impacted functional areas.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership and other Loan Management SVPs to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive business continuity framework that guarantees uninterrupted and compliant operations in the event of unplanned absence or other business disruption.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on loan management specific training for new hires and required training hours for all loan management personnel.
  • Lead strategic, cross-functional partnerships to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of critical work products across the enterprise. Foster a culture of operational excellence and client-centricity to improve customer satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Serve as an additional escalation point of contact for borrower-related inquiries and issues.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with preferred field of study in real estate, finance/accounting, business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2+ years in a VP level role or external equivalent.
  • Demonstrated leadership and in-depth knowledge of commercial real estate, particularly in areas such as loan servicing administration, escrow compliance and management.
  • Lead strategic client initiatives by building strong partnerships, resolving high-level issues, and aligning service with business goals.  Influence teams to drive satisfaction, retention, and long-term value.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of loan management team leads, fostering a culture of internal cooperation, accountability, and continuous improvement.           
  • Ability to collaborate with all functional verticals, respective leaders and senior leadership to drive execution of strategic business goals and initiatives while fostering an environment of collaboration and cooperation to ensure success of day-to-day deliverables.       
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage, present to and influence stakeholders and all levels of the business.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills; ability to address complex issues and provide clear path to resolution.
  • Ability to lead multiple loan management teams performing in a fast paced, high-volume environment by providing guidance on task workflow, prioritization and meeting requisite deadlines
  • Ability to influence adoption of new software applications, new processes on various technology platforms and manage occasional testing by loan management for new technology deployments
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Experience with industry related technologies such as Enterprise!, McCracken Strategy, LSTA, Misys and/or Backshop is a plus.

The annual full time base salary range for this role is

$135,000.00 - $155,000.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
