Hanover is looking for an Associate to support Deutsche Bank’s Commercial Real Estate (CRE) team in Los Angeles to originate loans for its conduit/large-loan commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) business, as well as for the bank’s balance sheet. The loans range across office, retail, hotel, multifamily and industrial property types

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Participating in all aspects of loan origination

·        Coordinating transactions within tight timeframes, involving several groups within Deutsche Bank, borrowers, and third-party advisors

·        Develop and maintain strong productive relationships with existing and prospective clients with an emphasis on origination opportunities among regional and national brokerage firms, local developers, high net worth individuals, corporations and other owners and operators in the real estate development and ownership space

·        Prescreen opportunities prior to the sizing, underwriting and documentation process

·        Work closely with:

o   the loan transaction management team to review and finalize loan documentation, ensuring compliance with market standards, internal policies and regulatory requirements

o   the loan underwriting team to prepare initial deal summaries and preliminary loan analysis and, should the loan approval progress, finalize the model

o   the syndicate desk, securitization bankers and capital sources to achieve superior execution on transactions

o   all stakeholders to maintain a high level of customer service and continuously strive to meet client objectives in the effort to responsibly grow a market-leading CMBS conduit platform

·        Coordinate the processing and closing of approved loans in compliance with the bank’s lending policies and procedures

·        Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to junior team members

QUALIFICATIONS

·        Strong network of contacts in the CRE industry including mortgage brokers and key decision makers at potential borrowers

·        Proven track record of originating and closing a high volume of securitized CRE conduit loans

·        4+6 years of experience in the real estate finance industry

·        Strong valuation, analytical and problem-solving skills

·        Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

·        The person will be expected to work from Deutsche Bank’s office on weekdays. Travel is expected

The annual full time base salary range for this role is

$140,000.00 - $165,000.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
