Position Overview:
The Senior Director of Client Services will be a senior management level role and will provide tactical and strategic direction and oversight for leading the asset management and primary servicing function for the company. This position, based in New York City, will report directly to the Head of Servicing and Asset Management (“SAM”), and will be required to be in the SitusAMC (SAMC) or Client offices a minimum of 3 days a week. 

This individual will have primary responsibility for overseeing several operational teams focused on the management of highly complex and structured commercial real estate loans, high level loan surveillance and primary servicing support to institutional clients, which include banking institutions, life insurance companies and debt funds. This position requires a strong understanding of the commercial real estate mortgage industry in general, the various debt structures, different asset classes, loan / portfolio management and primary servicing fundamentals to proactively anticipate client needs and facilitate solutions. It also requires hands-on management skills together with providing strategic direction of the day-to-day operation of the department. 

The ideal candidate should possess substantial experience in operational and business leadership and bring a track record of developing and scaling a best-in-class organization.  The Senior Director of Client Services should be comfortable driving performance, establishing goals, hiring, managing, and mentoring across varying levels and functions.  This is an important leadership role that requires the individual to exhibit both a strong entrepreneurial drive and collaborative spirit.

Essential Job Functions: 
  • Liaise with Clients in order to understand their business plans and needs and subsequently develop and maintain client strategies and performance metrics (both at a strategic and tactical level), to include pricing and execution strategy to ensure the most efficient and maximum client service penetration
  • Manage, supervise, interview, hire, and structure teams of asset management and primary servicing professionals, which will include annual performance and compensation reviews
  • Serve as the escalation point for Clients and address internal and external process and staffing challenges
  • Ensure that the various operational teams are properly trained, staffed and mentored
  • Support new business initiatives along with input on services pricing 
  • Create and monitor team budgets and assess ongoing performance against those budgets
  • Such other activities as may be assigned by your manager
Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a preferred field of study; accounting, finance, real estate, management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum fifteen years’ experience in commercial real estate with knowledge of structured debt products including transitional / bridge, construction and mezzanine and /or preferred equity, with REO resolutions and workout / restructuring strategies preferred
  • Ten years’ management experience
  • Work independently on projects and collaborate as a team player
  • Attend key industry conferences
  • Other duties as assigned
Special Requirements:
  • Travel to SAMC offices and current and potential clients will be required

The annual full time base salary range for this role is ($185,000 - $285,000). Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies.  All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
