Position Overview:
SitusAMC is seeking a valuation candidate that has experience valuing general and limited partnership interests for LIHTC affordable housing assets. This role will include understanding the terms and conditions of partnership agreements, loan terms, capital accounts, the financial operation of the underlying asset and taxation implications. Having a CPA is a plus, but not required. SitusAMC’s appraisers get the opportunity to work on institutional properties located all across the U.S. In addition, this position would also include assisting with our national clients, which include some of the largest and most prominent financial institutions, pension funds and insurance companies in the U.S., and involves portfolio work. AVP will work closely with VP’s in completing these processes.
Essential Job Functions:
- The role for this professional will be involved with performing valuations
- Efficiently perform valuations with a future career path to lead a team of valuation professionals by providing guidance and quality control
- Manage workflow to produce on time deliveries
- Help execute portfolio valuations and large consulting engagements through implementation of organizational and technical skills
- Communication/coordinate with market participants, clients, and co-workers
- Research property and market information
- Inspect properties
- Analyze subject and comparable data
- Develop appraisal and consulting reports and other deliverables
- Resolve non-compliant issues through verbal and written communication with client or other involved parties
- Work independently on projects and collaborate ‘face to face’ as a team player
- Other activities as may be assigned by your manager
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above - Preferred fields of study include Real Estate, Accounting, Finance or equivalent level of education and experience
- 5+ years of commercial appraisal experience strongly preferred
- Certified General Real Property Appraiser License is a plus
- MAI designation is desirable or if you are a candidate for MAI designation
- Strong valuation expertise
- MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word, Argus

- The employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment

The annual full time base salary range for this role is ($65,000 - $110,000). Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
