Our client’s residential whole loan desk is looking for an Assistant Vice President (AVP) to join their SP team in New York City covering Asset as well as Residential Mortgage sector. The Assistant Vice President will play an integral role in the financing, acquisitions, securitization, transaction management, and diligence of whole loans pools. This individual will gain exposure to analytics, diligence, banking, and trading functions within the overall business and will be introduced to the fixed income securities markets and will interact directly with financing, trading, structuring, banking, and external clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the fixed income financial markets.
Qualifications:
Applicants should be graduates with academic specialization in a quantitative or technical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics and possess strong communication skills. Candidates with programming experience (e.g. SQL, Python, VBA, Java, etc.) and proficiency in Excel are preferred. Applicants must be willing to work in a demanding transaction-oriented environment and be well-organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks and varying priorities.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in either RMBS, CMBS or ABS
- High attention to detail
- Possesses good communication skills
- Strong knowledge of residential real estate
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced culture
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Demonstrated abilities of meeting deadlines, being self-motivated, having attention to detail, and executing at a high level
The annual full time base salary range for this role is ($130,000 - $175,000). Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
