Position Overview:
Support Asset Management team in managing, monitoring and reporting on the performance of the Client’s portfolios of commercial real estate loans. This will involve working closely with the Client, Portfolio Management and Servicing teams to deliver accurate, timely and consistently high quality services.

This position is New York City based and requires a minimum 3 days in person.

Essential Job Functions:
  • This position is for an Analyst who will work as part of the Asset Management team, which is responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting on originated or acquired real estate debt investments, including single assets and non-performing loan pools.
  • Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule, working more than a traditional 8 hour day, and working evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.
  • Model new assets in loan performance models that report historical and projected cash and P&L. This may involve making customizations of template based on negotiated loan terms, and coordination with asset managers underwriters, Servicing and Portfolio Management.
  • Review and summarize deliverables and milestones provided under loan documents and enter those requirements in an Asset Management-focused Access database
  • LTV, DY and DSCR analyses
  • Gather market data in terms of rent, occupancy, absorption, sales trends, etc.
  • Spread financial statements, maintain rent rolls, create rollover reports and monitor co-tenancy issues
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly asset-level reports in Excel
  • Prepare annual asset-level summaries in powerpoint
  • Prepare various ad-hoc analyses focused on specifics of the deal at hand
Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Internship experience with a focus on audit, compliance and/or real estate finance
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related subjects
  • Good understanding of financial concepts and ideally real estate terminology
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent business writing skills and professional verbal skills with ability to interact with clients via phone or in person
  • Ability to approach work from a “transaction" basis versus “task" basis.
  • Ability to juggle multiple assignments and tasks with varying degrees of priority and complexity in condensed timelines
  • Creative problem solving capabilities, often creating solutions rather than following predefined steps
  • Ability to communicate with, and take direction, from co-workers throughout the organization
  • Ability to excel in a high performing team while also completing stand-alone assignments
Special Requirements:
  • The employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment
Working Conditions:
  • Office environment with frequent computer, mouse, keyboard use
  • Alternating between sitting or standing as needed
  • Hearing, talking, reaching, grasping
  • Ability to work in excess of 40 hours in any given week.

The annual full time base salary range for this role is ($80,000 - $110,000). Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies.  All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
